Before Your Session
What Do I Bring For The Session?
You do not need to bring much for your babies session.
Formula (If not breastfeeding, or doing both) I have a rocking chair or couch for comfortable use!
Pacifier
A snack and for you if you like
A few hours before your session I always turn the heater on so that it is nice and toasty for baby to be comfortable in. I also clean all surfaces and launder wraps and other props that need to be washed before the session.
I also have dogs and cats in my home. If you have allergies, please let me know!
Parent Portraits
Getting your pictures done with your little one? Before your session come prepared. You will want your hair and makeup done. For your attire all you need to wear is a shirt that is neutral; such as a white/black/gray/navy or any other neutral colors. Whatever you wear for pants doesn't matter! I take parent photos from the torso and up. So if you want to come in your comfy sweat pants, then go for it. You just had a baby, I want you to be comfortable.
Portraits With Siblings
For pictures with your older children, what they wear will also be neutral. Shirts, pants and dresses are recommended to be neutral colors as what I mentioned above for parent portraits. No need to worry about what to wear for shoes because I like them barefoot.
Worried about how they will be? I always do the sibling/family photos right away because we all know that toddler's do not like to wait long. Bring little snacks as well, it helps! Another suggestion, which my clients have done in the past, is to bring their partner or someone to help with the older siblings. Once I get the sibling/family photos done, they then take the children out for a drive for instance to entertain them. 3 hours is a long time for children. Or you can bring something that will entertain them!
During Your Session
What Do I Do During The Session?
Nothing! Kick back and relax. Parents love watching their little one being posed or wrapped like a little burrito.
Sometimes I will ask you or your partner's help being a spotter for the baby during certain poses.
During the session I like to make sure I have room to work, unless I ask for your help. This is to ensure yours, mine and most importantly your babies safety.
During the session I always go with the flow with your baby because your baby is the boss. I always take my time and if your baby needs to feed in between the session then of course you can feed baby. Take your time. I'm usually either prepping for the next set or tidying up.
After Your Session
Between 2 to 3 days after your session with me (which I hope you had a good time!) you will be getting an email with your proofing gallery to choose your favorite images for me to edit afterwards. The gallery is password protected which I will provide you in the same email. As stated in your contract you will have 7 days to choose your images before the gallery expires.
Editing and delivery of your images is a turnaround time of 2 to 3 weeks. In between editing your images I usually post a sneak peak on Facebook and Instagram to show you off to your friends and families. Once I am done editing your images I will upload them and send you the email link. It is password protected and will be the same password from your proofing gallery.
In your gallery on the top of the page there is a download link to click.
Once it is downloaded onto your device make sure you back up your images to an external hard drive/flash drive. Technology is flawed and sometimes accidents happen or devices crash. I do keep your galleries onto the site for quite sometime or until I run out of room.
When you do prints or canvases of your beautiful images make sure you get them done with professional printers. If want a recommendation about where to get your prints done, then just ask me. I will gladly help. Your high resolution images can only be done on professional printers. Getting prints done from lower grade printers will alter the color of your images and will look terrible.
I hope your experience with me was great and I really hope you love your pictures. I also love reviews. If you want to a leave a review, you can on my Facebook page or Google. I also have a referral program that will benefit you! Check it out the details on my website.
